In a recent Golf Retailing feature, David Chuang, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of FST Corp. (Nasdaq: KBSX), parent company of KBS Golf Shafts, discusses how advances in shaft technology and individualized fitting are changing equipment selection. Skyline Corporate Communications Group, LLC secured the two-page feature for our client, appearing on pages 42–43.
Chuang explains that improvements in materials, engineering and manufacturing have broadened the performance characteristics available across steel and graphite shafts, making traditional equipment categories less definitive. Drawing on his experience with manufacturers, retailers, fitters and golfers, he describes how fitting can reveal a mismatch between a player’s assumptions and actual results. His central message is that equipment decisions should reflect a golfer’s individual swing and measurable performance while also considering feel, comfort and confidence.
For FST and its KBS Golf Shafts brand, the feature provides an opportunity to share leadership expertise on the relationship between shaft design and golfer performance. It places that perspective within a broader industry shift toward more specialized equipment and increasingly individualized fitting.
